Treat installation as part of the decision. A dishwasher can appear to fit by width but still conflict with the cabinet, plinth, door opening, inlet, waste or power position. First establish whether the fault is a safe external issue or needs professional diagnosis. Stop using the appliance if water is reaching electrics, it is overheating, tripping the supply or showing signs of burning.

Does an integrated dishwasher have standard dimensions?+
Many follow common width categories, but the cabinet opening, height adjustment, depth, furniture door, hinges and plinth still need to be checked against the exact installation instructions.
Is the lowest water figure always the best choice?+

Can I use a dishwasher that has started leaking?+
