Haier-group heat-pump tumble dryer corrective action programme
OPSS reports that an internal short circuit can occur during normal use and may cause the tumble dryer to ignite, creating a serious fire risk.
Official action
For a listed model, check the rating plate without moving or dismantling the dryer. OPSS says J7 identifies the current modification and no further action is required under this notice. HM1 or no marking means the dryer remains affected: stop using it, unplug it if accessible and safe, and contact the manufacturer to arrange modification. An earlier modification is not enough. If the marking or model is uncertain, stop using the dryer and ask the manufacturer to confirm its status.
